The root of this hardy perennial in the Polygonaceae family is known to grow through poor soils down to depths of 8-9 feet. Drawing in nutrients it produces anthraquinones and many different carotenoids. Also known as Curly Dock, our Yellow Dock is either grown organically or gathered by two of our favorite wildcrafters in the southeast and midwest US.
