Reishi mushroom, classified as a mild and calming possible adaptogen, belongs to the Ganodermataceae family. Known as Lingzhi in Traditional Chinese Medicine, it has been used for over 2000 years. Once reserved for the Emperor and his court due to its scarcity, it was called an elixir of immortality. Today it is far more plentiful and sustainably produced. We use three forms: red Reishi, black Reishi and Reishi mycelium to produce our sweet, earthy extract. David uses it in 6 of his formulas: Immune Balance, Immune Adapt, Seven Precious Mushrooms, Athlete’s Compound, Calm Adapt and Respiratory Calmpound.
