Wood Betony, (Pedicularis groenlandica) in the family Orobanchaceae (broomrape family), is a dramatic flowering plant commonly known as elephant's head, little pink elephant, elephantella. It is sometimes confused with another plant also called Wood Betony or Betony (Stachys officinalis), a member of the mint family Lamiaceae. Our Wood Betony is wildcrafted in the Western US.
