Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and as a first option in treating Lyme disease. This formula does not replace the need for antibiotics in treating Lyme disease and must be used under the supervision of a physician.
This formula is designed to be used along with heat therapy to elevate body temperature. Saunas, hot tubs, hot baths and steam rooms are most effective to elevate the core body temperature to 101.5 - 102 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes once per day. If saunas, hot tubs or steam baths are not available, hot baths combined with taking a diaphoretic tea (Yarrow, Elder Flower, Ginger) can be substituted. It is essential that patients rehydrate as they will increase fluid and electrolyte loss. This part of the therapy should be monitored by a physician, especially in the young, the elderly, or the infirm. Patients with hypertension or heart disease should avoid heat therapy. Neither the herbal formula nor the heat therapy has been clinically effective when used without the other part of the treatment protocol. For best results use both Spirolyd Compound™ and Spirolyd Support™ along with heat therapy.
