Rehmannia glutinosa, a perennial plant native to China, is a member of the Phrymaceae family. Native to the mountain slopes and woodland areas of China, it has been used as a tonic Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 2000 years. Processed rehmannia, known as “Shu Di Huang” in TCM is steamed to enhance its properties and is often combined with aromatic herbs. Our processed Rehmannia root, sourced by a third generation US based company, is used to make our extract. David Winston uses it in his Women’s Adapt and Women’s Formula as well as his best selling Kidneys Support Formula.
