Red Root is a shrubby plant with white flowers in the Rhamnaceae family. We use both Ceanothus americanus, commonly known as New Jersey Tea or Ceanothus velutinus, also known as Snowbrush, interchangeably. The tough, woody fresh root is used to make an extract in David’s Burdock/Red Root formula.
