Ligustrum berry (Nu Zhen Zi) is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as a kidney and liver yin tonic. It grows as an ornamental shrub native to Southestern China with dark green, flat glossy leaves and bursts of white flowers which become the small, dark blue ovate berries. David Winston uses Nu Zhen Zi in his Immune Adapt formula, inspired by the classical TCM Fu-Zheng formulas. We use Geo-Authentically sourced dried berries from China to make this fruity, slightly bitter extract.
