A member of the Juglandaceae family, Black Walnut is found throughout the eastern US. If you've ever handled freshly fallen Black Walnuts, you know the green hulls can stain your skin a brownish green. The nut inside is edible, but it is the aromatic hulls that are used for gastro-intestinal issues.
